Electrical measurements

The following methods of testing are appropriate for safety evaluation of electrical equipment and installations, at a voltage below 1000V

Insulation resistance The insulation of elements under High Voltage tension is a basic action to be taken for security. During their operation, the equipment is exposed to atmospheric, mechanical, thermal and chemical impacts, which deteriorates insulation quality. This fact requires a periodical quality control of the elements, by measuring their insulation resistance.
Impedance (Zs) of “Phase-protective conductor” circuit Ground fault-protection is intended to prevent of inadvertent electric shock, at a not belonging to the current circuit parts of the electrical systems and equipment. The inspection of electrical systems are carried out periodicly, which is determined by the project design of the equipment or parts of it and by the local instructions which take into consideration separate consumers’ particularities, specific industry safety rules ect, as well as after overhaul of the system

Functionality of protection circuit breakers
(Fi - breakers)
The designation of “protective circuit breakers” is to shut off all phases of the current supply, when current leakage, higher than the acceptable is detected. This is accomplished by the use of breakers, characterized with high sensitivity and flawlessness. The control process includes, current leakage measurement, acceptable voltage and break time (response speed) of the protective circuit breaker.
Resistance of earthling and
lightning - arrestor systems
The prevention of lightning is a complex of a technical activities designated to protect peple, buildings, equipment and materials of lightning hits. The protective groundin, is a connection of non – conductive metal parts with ground.
When the insulation of those parts is destroyed, a dangerous for human’s voltage, can arise.
The periodical control is carried out in order to check how effective those grounding systems are.
